Legendary TV & Movie Houses

As the highly anticipated Oscars gala approaches, it’s the ideal moment to explore the legendary movie and TV houses.

The Academy Awards in Hollywood are a cornerstone event for film lovers, renowned for the prestigious golden statuette and the glamorous red carpet. This year, the Oscars gala is on March 11 at 3:00 AM, Spain time (the red carpet starts at midnight). Leading the nominations are ‘Oppenheimer’, ‘Poor Creatures’, and ‘The Moon Killers’, while ‘The Snow Society’ by J. A. Bayona contends for two statuettes. Surprisingly, ‘Barbie’ secures eight nominations, missing out on the expected nominiations for Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig, the film’s lead actress and director.

Nevertheless, ‘Barbie’ remains hopeful for significant awards such as Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress (with America Ferrera as a front-runner), Best Costume Design, and Best Production Design. The latter category is responsible for bringing Barbie’s iconic house to life, briefly turned into Mojo Dojo House by Ken.

In honor of Mojo Dojo House, let’s delve into the iconic flats and movie houses (and TV series). Ranging from grand mansions to cozy urban apartments, these cinematic residences have left an enduring imprint on our cultural landscape, transporting us to realms of fantasy and drama.

The Beauty of TV & Movie Houses

Films and television series offer not only unforgettable stories and remarkable performances, but also settings that emerge as characters themselves. Movie houses transcend mere sets; they are environments that ignite our imagination, inviting us to traverse diverse realms and lifestyles or, on occasion, even embody another persona within the storyline, as exemplified by the Halliwell Mansion in the 1998 series Charmed.
