If you want sea, mountains, architecture, history, tradition, modernity, innovation, culture, gastronomy, safety and diversity, then Barcelona is your city for investing in real estate properties with high and long profitability.
Barcelona is a Mediterranean city with a splendid climate, fantastic beaches and an exceptional port (both as marina and merchandise port). Barcelona is a city that now looks out over the sea and enjoys an extremely wide range of leisure facilities and cuisine.
Barcelona is a city with lots of history behind it. We have a city that reflects and explains part of the history of Europe, since the Roman Empire with the remains of the defensive walls and various public buildings, we have the medieval Barcelona in Gothic quarter. Strolling around the streets of Barcelona allows us to make constant discoveries: Born and La Ribera quarter is the Jewish Barcelona; Modernist Barcelona is in Eixample quarter (walking zone, in which the 19th century catalan bourgeoisies lived); or Sant Gervasi and Pedralbes quarters, the residential outlying of old Barcelona, on the slopes of the Collserola range; and the modern and innovative Barcelona in the Poblenou and 22@ district.
If we look at Barcelona from the architectural standpoint, we find great works of Romanesque and Gothic art, such as the church of Sant Pau del Camp, Santa Maria del Mar church, the Cathedral, or La Llotja. Then there are the great works of Modernism, such as the Palau de la Música, the Lleó Morera house, Hospital de Sant Pau; works by the architect Domènech i Muntaner, also playing a most notable role in the city of Barcelona, along with those of the famous architect Antoni Gaudí: La Pedrera, the Sagrada Família, Casa Vicens, Finca Güell and the Teresianes. Nor should we overlook the innovative projects of Carles Ferrater, Jean Nouvel, Albert Blanc and Enric Miralles.
The cultural Barcelona is expressed in music with buildings such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu opera house, the Palau de la Música and Auditori concert halls, and with music festivals such as Sonar and Primavera Sound. But there is not just music, for in Barcelona there are many theatres which continually stage works and shows, as at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Teatre Lliure, Teatre Grec, and many more! And, naturally enough, Barcelona also has literature, with the Ateneu Barcelonès, a cultural institution created over 150 years ago, and the Biblioteca Nacional de Catalunya, founded in 1907.
In Barcelona, we also like to live well, and that is possible thanks to an exceptional gastronomic range, with more than 24 restaurants with Michelin stars, high-level hotels, a very wide range of shopping zones with the most highly reputed Spanish and international brands, located on streets such as Passeig de Gràcia and the Rambla de Catalunya.
Barcelona is a city connected to the world, thanks to its airport and port, both with substantial traffic. Barcelona is the paradigm of design and innovation. Barcelona is a city which accommodates the finest universities and business schools (the latter including IESE, ESADE and EADA).
In short, Barcelona is a friendly, warm, accommodating and multicultural city, welcoming with open arms all people and families who come to live among us.
